Project Forensics

In addition to our traditional design and construction services, the professionals at HAAS Building Solutions also provide assistance in Project Forensics. This service includes the evaluation, analysis, stabilization, and repair of existing structures, the design and evaluation of temporary structures for construction, and new and existing building performance evaluation. Some examples are stabilizing the Southgate Apartments in State College, Pennsylvania from land sinkhole problems, correcting structural defects in the Pugh Street Parking Garage in State College, Pennsylvania, providing corrective measures to overcome structural stress cracks in the concrete structure of the 10-500-seat 1991 addition to the Beaver Stadium at The Pennsylvania State University, and providing solutions for numerous roof failures. Members of HAAS have also made inspections and surveys of many existing buildings to determine the cause of moisture penetration through roofs, exterior walls, and windows to recommend remedial and corrective measures. HAAS not only serves clients who need a new building, but we also offer solutions to those clients who have problems with an existing building.

The staff at HAAS is well versed in dealing with local code officials, insurance companies, and contractors to expedite the repair and analysis process to limit the amount of time the facility is off-line and to ease the overall repair or renovation process for our clients.
